Adding Images

You can enhance your posts by attaching an image or video. Each social network has it's own file size limits:

Facebook: 4MB
Twitter: 3MB
LinkedIn: 10MB
Pinterest: 10MB
Instagram: 8MB

If you are posting an image that has file size larger than these limits, Comity will attempt to resize the image and make file size smaller.
Social networks may allow you to post larger images directly, these limits are enforced for third party apps.
Other than file size limits, each social network has recommended image ratios:

Facebook: 1200 x 628 pixels
Twitter: 1200 x 675 pixels
Linkedin: 1200 x 628 pixels
Pinterest: 800 x 1200 pixels
Instagram: 1080 x 566 pixels or 1080 x 1080 pixels

Comity will try to optimize the image if ratio difference is significant, in other cases it will pass files through and only compress the file to reduce the size.
When sharing to multiple social accounts at the same time, it will be difficult to try to match these exact limits. You can use these numbers when you really need to optimize a post for a social network. 1200 x 1200 pixels or 1200 x 600 pixels size images should be mostly good enough.
