Goodreads is a "social cataloging" website that allows individuals to freely search its database of books, annotations, and reviews. Users can sign up and register books to generate library catalogs and reading lists. They can also create their own groups of book suggestions, surveys, polls, blogs, and discussions.
Integrating Goodreads with Comity allows you to quickly and easily see your book lists and activity created on Goodreads. This means that you don't have to remember the things you do or post on Goodreads, Comity will check & summarize it all so you can easily share your updates to your social accounts.
Here are the type of updates Comity will capture:
- Books you are currently reading
- Books added to your reading list
- Books you completed
You can connect Goodreads from Comity App Store.
Sharing Goodreads Updates
To see the updates only for Goodreads, go to "Suggestions" tab and click on the "Goodreads" logo from the list on the right. Otherwise, you will see all your updates from all your apps in suggestions feed.
To create a post from the Suggestions feed, click on the "share" button in the suggestion card.
Comity will capture the image and URL information automatically and save you time.
To generate a text for the post you can click on the "Goodreads" in the post editor and Comity will add a full message for you.
Or you can create a new message yourself and use other shortcuts "Add book title" and "Add book description" to add information easily and save time.
